Injured Child Settlements

Jason G. Denton represented a Tennessee minor child who was injured in an out of state accident in Florida. The accident left the child with permanent physical and mental injuries. Mr. Denton engaged multiple medical experts to assess the child’s present and future needs due to the resulting medical conditions. This extended the processing of the case but gave the family the knowledge and security they needed to make the decisions about their child’s well-being. In a confidential pre-litigation settlement, the case settled for well over $100,000.00.

Jason G. Denton represented a mother and minor child injured due to the intentional act of another child and negligence of his parents in their supervision of that child.  The case was litigated for several years but resulted in confidential settlement after depositions were taken of the parents and child and a video of the incident was obtained by Mr. Denton’s litigation team showing the intentional acts that caused the injuries.

Mr. Denton treats minor child cases with compassion and tries to handle each case in the same manner as if it were one of his children injured. In each case he engages necessary experts to assess the child’s present and future needs due to the resulting medical conditions.  Only another parent who has had an injured child can understand the life impact an injured child has on parents and family.

There are specific laws that apply to minor child injury cases.  Unless you chose the right attorney with experience and knowledge of the laws the case may not be handled correctly.
