Biography:
Jason was born in Gallatin, Tennessee on March 9, 1976. He was admitted
to bar, 2003, Tennessee. Jason received his post high school education
from University of Mississippi at Oxford (B.A., 1998) and Nashville
School of Law (J.D., 2003). Jason is an active member the American
Association for Justice, Tennessee Association for Justice and 15th
Judicial District Bar Association. He focuses his practice upon
Practice Personal Injury Law, Social Security Disability, Tort Law, and
Workers’ Compensation.
Prior to becoming a licensed attorney, Jason was Legal Specialist and
Fraud Investigator for Medicare for six (6) years. His duties
included civil and criminal investigation of healthcare providers
committing Medicare fraud and abuse. Jason has lectured at Medicare
provider and federal law enforcement seminars across the nation and
worked with federal and state agencies such as the FBI, Office of
Inspector General, the TBI, and the United States District Attorneys
Office in developing fraud and abuse cases.
In his courtroom experience, Jason has obtained substantial
workers’ compensation awards for injured workers in Middle
Tennessee including but not limited to Wilson, Sumner, Davidson,
Bedford, Franklin, Coffee, Rutherford, Trousdale, Macon, Smith,
Jackson, Putnam, and Williamson Counties. He has a proven record of
obtaining jury verdicts in auto collision cases and has negotiated
significant settlements for clients in Middle Tennessee in nursing home
neglect and abuse cases. Over the past seven years, Jason has been
successful in litigating failed and defective products cases, Medicare
fraud cases, medical malpractice, tractor trailer and trucking
accidents and premises liability cases. He has successfully obtained
Social Security Disability benefits for several Tennesseans that are
unable to work. Jason is Region Representative of the Board of
Governors fro the Tennessee Association of Justice (TAJ) and the
co-founder/co-chair of the TAJ Workers’ Compensation
Litigation Group.
Jason is a resident of Lebanon, Tennessee, the proud husband to Rachel
and father to Warren, Elliott Ruthanne and Cason. Jason and his family
are active members of Berea Church of Christ. Jason grew up learning
that hard work is what pays off.
