Adoption is one of the most important events in the life of a family, birth parent, and child.  Jo Ann “Jody” Aulds is a skilled and experienced attorney who not only is an adoptive mother of two, but also has been assisting with adoptions since 1982. 

Our firm is dedicated to building families through all types of adoptions including private, independent, agency, state, foreign, step-parent, relative, adult, and adoptions where either the birth parent or the adoptive parents live out-of-state, requiring the assistance of the ICPC (Interstate Compact for the Placement of Children).  Advice to prospective adoptive parents includes, but is not limited to, information regarding the surrender process, expenses that can legally be paid to or for the benefit of birth parents, tax credits for adoption expenses, home study requirements, the meaning of open adoptions, medical and social background information on the child, and references for counseling for birth parents.
