Transactions Department prides itself as one of the leading
law firms representing parties in commercial real estate and
asset based transactions. Partners Jere N. McCulloch, David B. Foutch
and Gregory S. Gill combine for more than fifty years experience in the
commercial transactions, and have represented buyers, sellers,
residential and commercial real estate developers, commercial real
estate brokers, builders and lenders in transactions all over Middle
Tennessee, including Davidson County, Rutherford County, Smith County,
Sumner County, Trousdale County, Williamson County, Wilson County and
all of the other 88 counties in Tennessee. As in its sister Residential
Real Estate department, the Business/Commercial Transactions Department
provide title searches, title examinations, lender’s title
insurance, owner’s title insurance, title opinions,
certificates of title, deed preparation, loan document preparation, as
well as provide legal counsel to the parties relating to zoning and
development issues, including appearances before local zoning
commissions, boards of zoning appeals, county commissions, city
councils, utility boards and other administrative or governmental
agencies, and matters related to properly securing the loan.
The Business/Commercial Transactions Department takes pride in its work
with its lender clients to assist in closing both real estate secured
and asset secured transactions. We endeavor to understand the
transaction, including the needs of the lender and the borrower, and
advise our lender clients on how to best achieve and secure those
goals. We take the time to examine the details and ask the important
